Successful start of crowdfunding campaign - BaronMerino® reaches more than 60 % of the project goal after only eleven days. 

BaronMerino® developed a „revolution“ in the textile sector. The combination of merino wool and Meryl Skinlife forms the base for high performance, functional business clothing. The unique, patented fabric uses the natural advantages of merino wool as well as the strength, durability and comfort of advanced synthetic materials used for sports underwear. “On the outside it is merino wool, but on the inside, it is a high-tech fiber. Their different features complement each other and even eliminate the disadvantages of the individual materials”, Hörtnagl explains.
Markus Hörtnagl’s vision is the creation of business fashion with a pleasant feeling in everyday life, which ensures well-being in stressful situations and is the perfect outfit also for afterwork activities. The founder defines the corporate goal as “the production of fair clothing for work and everyday life, socially acceptable, with the highest quality and standards.”
To realize this vision, the founder launched a crowdfunding campaign on the international platform kickstarter.com.
After eleven days since the start enthusiasm for the project also emerges from the comments of (potential) investors. In addition to an initial “early bird-offer”, the investors are showing interest in the material itself and the future range of colours. Aspects such as the origin of the wool and the high importance of animal welfare for wool processing are addressed as well. In a recent update, Markus Hörtnagl explains: “Together we can make the fashion world a better place by following three guiding principles – protection of people, nature and animals”.
